Ivanovo Center for Gender Studies

Ivanovo Centre for Gender Studies was founded in March 1996 as a research subdivision at Ivanovo State University. In 1997 it obtained the status of NGO, functioning with the support of inter-institutional research programme «Women of Russia: Problems of Adaptation in the New Socio-Economic Conditions». At present ICGS is the member of inter-regional public organization «Women’s Leadership and Partnership». Among its constant partners are International Republican Institute, the programme «Dialogue between Civil Society and the State» with the support of Charity Aid Foundation (CAF) and European Commission, Örebro University (Sweden), and Far-Eastern Research Centre of Local Government.
